6. KPIs, GOALS AND ANALYSIS

Never before have we had access to more data, but this can also contribute to short-term focus and incorrect decisions. With clear goals and KPIs in a structured analysis plan, we know what to measure and why. Then numbers and reporting become insight, learning and evaluation.

Goals and KPI workshop

For a shared understanding of vision, goals and KPIs

What is it and why is it important?

Many companies have unstructured and unclear goals that work in silos and are not well connected. Or few goals that everyone should relate to, related to revenue or growth. But it is important to have clear SMART goals and KPIs that follow the entire customer journey, and are adapted to all functions to be motivating for the entire organization. This work connects mission, vision, business goals, behavioral goals, communication goals and media goals/channel goals with relevant KPIs.

Reporting and analysis

From numbers and data to insight and learning

What is it and why is it important?

It is tempting to rush on to the next activity, without stopping and asking: What did we really learn? Reporting gives us a bunch of numbers, without a deeper reflection on what worked and why. In addition, we have far too much data today, often from digital platforms and with short-term parameters that contribute to our inability to lift our gaze to see the overall picture. A good analysis process ensures that goals, activities and learnings are interconnected, and provides a basis for better decision-making.

Some questions it answers

What contributed to the revenue growth in Q2?

What is the difference between reporting and evaluation?

What numbers should we look at weekly, monthly, and quarterly?

What should this activity be measured against?
